What exactly is your preference for a present for your wife or girlfriend? Perhaps jewelry, bracelets, rings, or watches? My wife’s birthday is coming up soon and I would love to hear what you think about a present. I know she prefers a bracelet or perhaps a watch, but as a guy I’m just not that clued in to what really is a good present. Everyone likes jewelry, right? Even if it is ugly?

There are so many home improvement projects that I would like to get done this summer. Most of them are inside, which is a good thing. I’m actually thinking that we need to finish painting the outside of the house first, and hopefully we will get this done this weekend, perhaps by next weekend. I am concerned, however, of the actual home improvement costs, though, so I will need to see what we can afford to get done this year.

I’ve always been doing home improvement things around the house, but this one seems to be dragging on and on and on. Perhaps it is because of all the rain and the hot weather we’ve had?

We packed up the kids and went to Tyler Texas this morning, first thing. Turns out that we also needed some additional plumbing parts for one of the bathrooms, so we picked up those on the way. Got to go to a few nurseries in Tyler, but did not find exactly what we were looking for. Not sure if we need to schedule another trip to Tyler or not, perhaps will go during the week when it’s not so crowded.

I thought about planting a few rose bushes this weekend in order to hide some of the hideous pool equipment we have around our pool, which includes a filter, a pump, a bunch of hoses and other stuff that just doesn’t fit in right. If I find the right sized rose bush and the right color, it may take about a year or two but it should be large enough to cover up some of the pool equipment.
