Melissa Sweet and her story
As a young girl in Kentucky, Melissa Sweet learned the art of sewing from her mother and her grandmother. For many years, she designed her own clothes, often choosing white where other young girls might have chosen bright colors. She even designer her own dresses, also beautiful creations of white, which she wore to her high school formal dances. Today, those skills have translated into designing stunning wedding gowns that any bride would be delighted to wear.
Since her debut in the design world in 1996, Melissa Sweet has earned accolades for her refreshing views on the designs of modern, glamorous wedding gowns. Combined with her keen business sense, Melissa Sweet’s design skills made her company, Melissa Sweet Bridal, a popular choice that rapidly gained a lot of supporters, all across the country.
In 2005, Melissa Sweet sold her company to another big name in the bridal industry, Priscilla of Boston. She continues to produce super designs for bridal wear in collaboration with that company.
